Emma Stone
Emily Jean Stone was born to Krista Jean
Stone and Jeffrey Charles Stone in Scottsdale, Arizona, on November 6, 1988.
She is a homemaker. Jeffrey Charles Stone is the CEO and founder of contracting
company, Stone Contracting. She is of Swedish, German & British Isles
descent. Stone began her acting career in her early years as a part of the
Valley Youth Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona, where she made her stage debut in an
adaptation of Kenneth Grahame's "The Wind in the Willows". Stone was
a part of numerous productions throughout her teens until, at 15 years old, she
decided to pursue acting as a profession. Officially, she designed a PowerPoint
presentation, which was backed by Madonna's "Hollywood", and entitled
"Project Hollywood", to convince her parents that she should leave
school and relocate to Los Angeles. She and her mother made the pitch and made
the move to LA. Her schooling was done at home, and she would spend the rest of
her time auditioning. She made her TV debut in 2004, when she was offered the
role of Laurie Partridge on the VH1 reality/talent show In Search of the
Partridge Family. The show brought her a host of minor TV performances in the
years to follow. After a string success with her part as Olive in Easy A (2010)
was her first film role. The school she attended was Xavier College Preparatory
in Phoenix, Arizona. While she is a redhead, the hair color that is natural to
her hair is blonde. Judd Apatow suggested that she change her hair color to
suit Superbad (2007). She was so in love with it, she decided to keep the
color. At the age of 15 she convinced her parents she could make the move to
Hollywood. She made this happen by creating a PowerPoint presentation entitled
Project Hollywood. She began acting at the age of 11 years old in Phoenix's
Valley Youth Theatre. Here she performed on more than 16 stages. She also
performed in the comedy improv group of the theatre. Caylee Cowan was also a
part of the Valley Youth Theatre.
